These minute long Still Lifes were arrived at through the manipulation of a radio feedback instrument, components of which consist in two FM radio transmitters, two radios, one mixer, and various cables. Adjustments are made to panning, equalization, and volume until a semi-stable, self-generating state is found, at which point I begin recording and refrain from touching the knobs. The music heard here is the natural wellspring of machinery: a dance of electromagnetic waves and circuitry.
